I was in Pasadena at my dad’s house for the last few days and I am EXCITED about one thing I did while I was there…. I took cuttings from one of my mom’s rose bushes and am going to try to grow it!!! The bush is called Wiskey Mac and growers no longer sell or grow it.. so I read about taking cuttings on line and decided to try it!!
Let’s hope these little stems take root and grow! My mom’s bush is about 35 years old and was her favorite. I am excited to be growing this in honor and memory of her. Here is what the bloom looks like on her bush (and it smells sooooooooooooooooo good)!
Here are a couple beauties from my garden that bloomed for my birthday yesterday…
My Rogue Sunflower (see May 18th post) is about 4 feet tall now and I think it’s going to produce a flower… is this what they look like when they are about to produce a flower? I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know what happens!
