Lynne Marini brought this gorgeous "altered frame" to our Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting on Saturday, it was made by Tracey Shaver of Ohio… it’s GORGOUS and everyone loved it!!

I have had a few "plain" frames lying around that I’ve been meaning to cover for quite awhile, and after seeing this one, I thought I HAVE TO DO THIS! So I got out one of my plain frames and covered it with some Brocade Background paper that I stamped with the Priceless set. I added a tag from the "Tagged" tin framed with a piece of HodgePodge Hardware and to top it all off, some new Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon from the Holiday Mini catalog! {That ribbon is tooooooooooooo yummy!}
I added brads on top of 1/2" punched out circles to the upper right corner to balance the accessories in the lower left corner:

I used Sticky Strip around the perimeter of the back of the frame, and "wrapped" the frame like a package to adhere the paper to the frame.
P.S. the best part about this altered frame…. I got it at the .99 cent store!! You can cover any inexpensive frame and make it a one-of-a-kind work of art! You can also purchase wood frames to alter and use Mod Podge to adhere the paper directly to the frame.
Oh my gosh, I love it! Did you mod podge or just tape it down? Beautifully done!!
Pattie, love the frame! I have 3 frames that are green, turquoise and red, that I have been wanting to cover. Great job! Your son is sure growing up. Vicki
Patty, these frames are GORGEOUS! I’ve always wanted to try altering a photo frame … it’s on my to do list! Thanks for the inspiration!

Patty…
I have one of Tracey’s gorgeous frames sitting in my Studio, too! I organized a 3D shoebox swap at convention and she attended. I get a LOT of comments on it!
Love your altered frame, too! These make such GREAT gifts!
