Technique Class – Watercolor Pansies

This technique was a part of the class I taught on the weekend… we add a series of 4 new 6×6 technique pages to our album in these Technique Classes.

I know you've probably seen, heard, read, all about these neat watercolor pansies….. I just had to try them…  I took Dawn O's advise and used the SHIMMERY WHITE CARDSTOCK and Aquapainters, since they are GREAT for watercoloring….

the super cool trick about these is ….. they are made with 2 BUTTERFLY PUNCH OUTS !!  TOO FUNNNN!!

WATERCOLORED PANSY TECHNIQUE

Because these take a little while to make, I wanted to make the background REALLY simple… it features the new digital download for My Digital Studio called SUMMER SPLENDOR DSP.  Did you know you can still use these GREAT graphic files even if you don't own My Digital Studio!?

I know.. so at first… you don't even see the 2 butterfly punchouts.. do you ??   THEN… you see them… really cool.

  1. So lovely Patty! And once again you opened my eyes (a demo!) to what is available — either I didn’t pay attention or I brushed over the announcement of downloadable papers! Lovely! Thanks so much!

  2. This idea with the Butterfly Punch is so neat. My ladies at my stamp class love this new watercolor since making the Fifth Ave Floral using the same technique. Thanks to Dawn O’s idea, and so many others that I’ve seen here and there.
