I am in love with the adorable Cups & Kettles / Have a Cuppa Suite on pages 34 and 35 of the 2016 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog!! The tea cups, coffee / cocoa mug and all the cute accessories in this stamp set are too cute!!
I saw this cute Hot Cocoa mug idea on Cindee's blog and just needed to make some of these!! I combined the Love Blossoms paper stack designs (pg 17 Occasions catalog from Stampin' UP!), with the Cups & Kettles framelit dies (pg 34) to create some sweet customer Thank You cards and Valentine greetings!
I am totally in love with the sweet heart die cut in this set, because it looks like the heart I use here on my PattyStamps blog 🙂
Tip: use the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the heart to the mug.. SEE THIS VIDEO for tips on using your Fine Tip Glue Pen.
Ok the spoon.. can we just talk about this adorable spoon!? I die cut the spoon with the Silver Foil sheet paper on pg 148 of the annual catalog and the little spoon die in the framelit set… WHAT!? I know.. too cute! Again, I found the Fine Tip Glue pen to be the best adhesive for this.
I sponged the mugs with Soft Suede ink and a Sponge Dauber.. just to give them a little dimension.
And thanks to Cindee for this tip.. I used the top portion of the Tree Builder Punch to create the fluffy whipped cream on the top of the Hot Cocoa!! You could pretend it's foam or marshmallows or whatever your preferred Hot Cocoa topping is!
I cut the Love Blossoms paper to 4-3/4" x 3" so that I could get 2 out of each 6×6 sheet, and added it to the Crumb Cake Note Card (#133766) with my Snail adhesive. The extra little space on the card was an opportunity for a pop of Real Red cardstock and a ribbon! Some cards were embellished with the Venetian Crochet Trim and others have the Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon. All cards got 1/2 of a doily added to them as well.
I used 4 different patterns from the Love Blossoms paper stack for these cards. I have a BAD HABIT of hoarding my designer paper and was REALLY proud of myself for using all this paper! :) I made a few of these sweet cards.. and mailed them out yesterday for Customer Thank You cards.. I sure appreciate my sweet customers!! Thank you for your orders in my online store!

Love this idea. Can you please show us the inside of the card. I am wanting to see how you attached the hot cocoa packet.
