This beautiful Silver Gable Box was a gift I received at the Stampin’ UP! Onstage event in November! The talented, and very kind, Elisha Smith made it and gave it to me! She embossed the gable box with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder, and made the gorgeous tag with the Country Home stamp set.
I was just speechless when Elisha gave it to me.. it’s SO gorgeous! She filled it with “buckeye” (amazing chocolate & peanut butter) candy!
The tag is just stunning. She stamped it with one of the images from the Country Home stamp set with a Memento Black ink pad, and colored it with Stampin’ Blends markers. But.. did you see what tricky thing she did? She stamped the image twice.. once right side up, and then again upside down!! She put the heartfelt gratitude sentiment in the middle where the 2 images meet!!
Yes, you CAN emboss the gable boxes with embossing folders in the Big Shot!!

Patty I love this box, but how on earth is it done? I have looked everywhere for directions and cannot find. Please help! I would love to do this at my monthly card club. Thanks.
Hi Sheila, The gable boxes come flat in the package so you simply put one inside your embossing folder and run it through the big shot to emboss it! ?
Thanks Patty for sharing it! I love the gable box and the way that the embossed it. Yet, I have to say I am in love with that tag! So beautiful and it was so kind of her to give it to you!
Blessings,
Yes, I was totally in love with the way she stamped the tag, too!!
Oh my gosh! I am just now seeing that you posted the gable box! What a wonderful surprise! To emboss the box I used my heat tool on the seam to open the box up to a single layer, then I embossed up to a seam from each side (I ran it through twice). Finally, I glued the seam back together with MP liquid glue. If you emboss it right out of the package, one side is embossed while the other is debossed – which still looks pretty cool, but I wanted all of it embossed. Hope that makes sense!
Thank you again for the delightful gift!! I am treasuring the box!! 🙂 Thanks also for the details about taking it apart!! 🙂
Appreciate that you have shared with us amazing work.
Best,
Steve
