I was excited to try this idea, using Sponge Daubers and Stampin’ UP! ink pads to QUICKLY and easily blend colors on these Butterfly Gala punched images! As you’ll see in this post and the video below, it’s super easy to stamp the butterfly in black ink, then add a few colors onto the butterfly and punch out with the Butterfly Duet punch!!

Using Sponge Daubers to add color to the butterflies is a great way to experiment with fun color combos!
Above: Butterfly colored with Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove and Poppy Parade ink. Calypso Coral ribbon completes this color scheme.
Above: Butterfly sponged with Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel ink. Lemon Lime Twist Sale-a-Bration Organdy ribbon and Balmy Blue cardstock base completes this color combo.
Tip 1:
Experiment with several different color combos!
Tip 2:
Layer Frosted Flower embellishments and Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots for a cute addition to your project!
Tip 3:
Don’t forget about Washi Tape.. It adds a fun pop to your project very quickly and easily!
