Are you traveling for Thanksgiving this year? I thought this would be a fun idea to share with you – an easy DIY Thanksgiving Hostess Gift to take with you! I found these cute little containers at TJ Maxx and decorated them with Stampin’ UP! Come to Gather designer paper and lots of die cut leaves using the Gathered Leaves dies.
The adorable THANKFUL napkins were also at TJ Maxx, so I added those to the cute decorated containers and added shreddie and some fall candy!
Above: I tied Come to Gather Crumb Cake ribbon around this container. I used the Tear & Tape to attach the ribbon to the container so that it wouldn’t slip off.
Mini Baskets and Thankful napkins from TJ Maxx for my DIY Thanksgiving Hostess baskets.
To Decorate the Thanksgiving Hostess Gifts:
I measured the height of the basket, cut a strip of Come to Gather designer paper to that height, then just bent the edges of the strip around the slanted sides and then cut the paper along that folded line. I attached the DSP to the mini baskets with Tear & Tape for extra holding insurance 🙂 Add ribbon then add die cut leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals and decorate with rhinestones.
I also used my Tear & Tape to attach the Pretty Peacock Linen Ribbon around the basket. That way it won’t slide off.
All of the leaves are die cut with the Gathered Leaves dies #150662. I used the Copper Foil Paper, the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and the Come to Gather designer paper for the leaves. Holiday Rhinestones were added as the final little touch of bling! #150457.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! You have SUCH great ideas! Thanks for sharing! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too!
Thanks! Party for the sweet Thanksgiving and Christmas basket ideas. I found similar cardboard baskets at Michael’s today. I checked T.J.Max where I live, but they didn’t have a thing. I don’t have all of the stamp sets you used, but the beauty Of handcrafting is getting great ideas from crafters (demonstrators) like you, and then
Coming up with my own ideas. Happy Holidays!
