Slimline Yuletide Village Cards

Slimline card ideas featuring Stampin' UP! Yuletide Village stamp set colored with Stampin' Blends markers by Patty Bennett

Yesterday, during my weekly live video I shared 3 ways I used the Stampin’ Up! Yuletide Village stamp set for slimline cards. I’m including the replay at the bottom of this post if you missed the video.

Each of these 3 slimline card designs features stamped and colored images from the Yuletide Village set. Stamp on Stampin’ UP! Basic White cardstock with Memento black ink, and color with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I’ve fussy cut several images for 2 of the cards using my Paper Snips.

You may not always think of a vertical orientation for a slimline card, but I love this one!! I’ve used a piece of printed paper from the Winter Meadow pack for my background, and embossed white cardstock with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder for the snow. Just rip strips and layer with the houses.

A piece of Winter Meadow designer paper was also used for the background on this card, I added a little touch of Azure Afternoon ink with my Blending Brush in a few spots, and I’ve also embossed it with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder.

Stamp several images on your white cardstock front, color, then cut out for this card design. This strip of houses is raised on Stampin’ Dimensionals and Foam Adhesive for a little added dimension.

If you are looking for measurements, be sure to view the video… it depends on the size envelope you are using. I’ll show you how to figure it out.

A fun discovery was that 3 of the Stylish Shapes square die cut pieces fit perfectly on my card, and I love how this design turned out. It’s almost monochromatic with the Lost Lagoon colors, but, I added Ivory for a bit of interest.
