The end to a beautiful day!

Dsc05126 This has been a wonderful day… after church and a nice lunch, my husband and son helped me in the garden, planting 10 new plants – including 2 new rose bushes!! – and tomorrow I’m sure we will be very sore!  (Our soil is clay and rock and takes a LOT of effort to dig holes and add "good" soil).  Anyway.. I’ll be sharing lovely flower photos soon (and of course more stamping goodies), but for tonight, I thought I’d share my favorite sunset photo from our recent Stampin’ Up! cruise.  This was taken somewhere off the coast of Cuba on our way east from Panama to Florida.  Don’t you just LOVE this photo!?

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful, hard-working moms out there!!  I thought I’d share a flower project today… what could be better than flowers on Mother’s Day, right?

May_07_doodling This was another project from my 6×6 Technique Book class earlier in the week.  This is just simply adding "doodling" to your stamped images with the Stampin’ Up! Journaling Marker.  I saw an idea similar to this on a display board on the recent Stampin’ Up! cruise and thought it would be a fun way to introduce doodling in my class.

Cardstock: Only Orange, Whisper White

After church, I’ll be working in my garden today planting more rose bushes.. I hope you all enjoy something wonderful today too!

Stamp A Stack samples

Here are 2 cards we made in my last Stamp A Stack class.  This is a class where participants make 10 cards, and the theme this time was "birthday cards".   It’s always nice to stock up on your supply of birthday cards!

April_28_1 This fun card uses the "You Make Me Happy" stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalog and an interesting color combo that I came up with:  Buckaroo Blue, Apricot Appeal, Ruby Red and Certainly Celery!  Adding the "Important Message" tab with the Round Tab Punch and some black gingham ribbon dresses up the card a bit – don’t ya think?

April_28_3_2 This So Saffron Long Notes card and envelope also incorporates the yummy, delicious, double sided, low calorie Au Chocolat paper (both from the Spring Mini catalog), and one of my newest favorites sets Big Blossoms.  The little tabs are made from the small oval punch and the dots are made using the template from the Mat Pack and a Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write marker!  Kind of looks like real holes… guess you’d call them Faux Holes! hee hee

And just so my garden doesn’t feel left out today, here is a shot of my 2nd most favorite flower, Alstromeria.  It makes a great "filler" in bouquets and lasts a LONG time in a vase, like roses do.

Today I am getting together with about a dozen gals from my Luv 2 Stamp Group and we are doing a shoebox swap (we call it Stamp A Rama) and I am also rewarding my top sellers with "5 Fun Free day" (they get to make 5 projects for Free).. so I’ll have lots to share later today or tomorrow!  Stay tuned…..
