WELCOME to the MAY 2010 Control Freaks Blog Tour !!!
You have probably joined me after visiting Jan's Blog, and you can click on the "next blog" link at the bottom of the post to continue on the tour 🙂
This month we are featuring products from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalog. Please enjoy the samples and the tour !!
My first card features the awesome stamp set called Elements of Style (pg 12). The same stamp was used for both the background and the focal area. I also TEXTURIZED the background with the new Lattice Die embossing folder (pg 24), then sponged some Sahara Sand and Night of Navy ink on it and THEN spritzed it with the new Silver Foil and Gold Glow Smooch Spritz sprays (pg 15)! I used an Aquapainter to color in the flowers, and added Vanilla satin ribbon and 3 half-pearls from the Pretties kit.
My 2nd project features the same Elements of Style stamp set. I love the great contrast and impact the black layer and ribbon give this card! The whole thing was spritzed with the Silver Foil Smooch Spritz (pg 15).
My last project was inspired by the awesome and talented Mary Brown. I used TANGERINE TANGO which will be returning in July with our new catalog!! I had some cardstock and ink left over from a couple years ago so decided to use it :)
CLICK HERE for a link to the FREE covered brad tutorial. (This flower with the covered brad center is one of the projects we'll be making at my Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting on Saturday!)
The box is the Fancy Favor box die (with Tangerine Tango c/s) and then I texturized it with theLattice Die Embossing folder (in the Summer mini, pg 24) and accessorized it with some Island Oasis DSP (pg 27) and some Presto Patterns DSP (pg 15) colored with Tangerine Tango ink. I've also used pieces from the Island Floral flower die (pg 27).
I hope you have a wonderful week and ENJOY THE BLOG TOUR!
