Honestly.. everyone tells you … "the years go by faster the older you get"… but how is it that 25 years have sped by since my sweet little baby Jason was born!?
I guess "they" were right!
Jason turned 25 last week and I thought I'd share one of the cards I made for him, but first a peek at my cutie when he was just a little 🙂 .. actually, he really never was "a little" because he was over 10 lbs when he was born! 🙂
Of course being a significant birthday, I thought it would be fun to make him a card using the Large Number / Number of Years framelits! It made him smile… that's truly my mission in life.. 🙂
I added the die cut number 2 and 5 and punched balloons onto a Gate Fold Card and covered just about every inch of the cardstock with party patterned paper from the "It's My Party" paper stack and the "Cherry on Top" paper stack!
Stamping the balloons in all different colors and punching them out was too fun.. I just love these festive balloons! This is the Stampin' Up! color combo I used on this card:
Looking for more color combo ideas!? Check out my Pinterest board here!
The die cut numbers were created using the Large Numbers framelits (#140622) and Island Indigo cardstock (see below for details on making them glimmery!), and I stamped and punched lots of balloons using the Balloon Celebration stamp set and the matching Balloon Bouquet punch (get a 15% discount.. buy them together! #140810). The polkadot balloons are punched out using one of the patterns in the Schoolhouse Designer Paper Package (#138187).
I wanted to glitz it up just a little.. so I swiped my Clear Wink of Stella pen over the 2 and the 5 Island Indigo cardstock and make it glimmery!! 🙂

As you can see I also lined the inside of the card with festive party print paper!! (Stripes are from the "It's my Party" stack, and balloons are from the "Cherry on Top" stack – see below for easy ordering.. click any product photo to go to my online store).
I shared this photo collage (below) on Facebook on his birthday last week, but if you didn't see it, I thought I'd share it here … I love that Jason has been drawing on blueprints with me, with Eric and with my dad ever since he was little.. now he works in the same Engineering office as Eric does.. so fun!!!

I love your card! They grow up way too fast! You really feel old when your oldest grandchild, who was just born a couple of years ago, turns 22!
Hey, Happy Birthday to your Jason, and many more!! Love the card you made for his 25th birthday – what a great set – I just made a BD card for my 13 yr. old grandson with it – so fun to work with!! Now I will really be able to personalize my cards – my oldest grandchild is 26, and my oldest daughter is approaching 50 in a couple more years – YIKES – where does the time go???
And if you think the time flew by, just wait a few more years – it picks up speed the older you get!! LOL
LOVE the card and thanks for sharing pictures of your beautiful family!
