I am excited to share a step by step video tutorial with you so that you can easily create these fun watercolor backgrounds and cards featuring the Ribbon of Courage bundle, Stampin' Up! Watercolor paper, Stampin' Spritzer, Clear Blocks and ink pads!
I've heard it called the "Smoosh" technique. Cindee taught me how to do this and I created 40 cards with this technique after she showed me how!!
Watch the Video Tutorial Below!
If you are reading this in an email feed click HERE to watch the video on my blog.
The Color Combos I used for most of my cards are shown below. I love the springy happy pinks, reds and orange tones. But you'll see in the video you can use so many other color combos!! It's really fun to experiment!
In addition to the 3 ink pad colors shown above, I also used Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to die cut the leaves from the Support Ribbon framelit dies.
Each of my cards featured today showcase the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and coordinating Support Ribbon framelits, which are sold separately, or as a bundle. Find them on pages 96 and 97 in your brand new 2017-2018 Stampin' UP! catalog. You can also WATCH THE VIDEO here for more info about the design process during my million dollar achiever visit to Stampin' Up! for this great bundle!
My samples today feature several In Colors! To see the NEW In Colors, CLICK HERE.
Each of my cards today feature stamps or die cut pieces from the Ribbon of Courage Bundle (see pages 96 and 97). I also used the Layering Ovals framelits, and the Bunch of Banners framelits set, as well as several new In colors.
The Glitter Enamel dots are PERFECT for the flower centers! Click Here!
Above and Below: these 2 Ribbon of Courage cards feature Rose Red and Blushing Bride for the ink in the watercolor background, and the new Powder Pink designer paper, cardstock and ribbon. Don't they look so pretty together!?
The ribbon stamped images are all stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink.

Very pretty cards! Will watch your video later to refresh my mind about that technique…. (I’m always about “the details”). Thanks for sharing, Patty!!
Patty, These cards are gorgeous!
Wonderful cards. I really enjoyed the video and seeing the different combinations. I will be trying this soon. Again, congrats on your big achievement!
Patty, I love “your” stamp set! Unfortunately, I know a handful of friends that are fighting cancer at this time (not just breast cancer). This is will allow me to choose a color that is known for the type of cancer they are fighting. Thank you for designing a perfect set! The technique you show here will be a fun one to use, too. Thanks for the idea. ?
Love this technique. Now I must find time to try it out. Thank you for inspiring me.
