As we continue our series of free online technique classes, today we are exploring Ghost Stamping! It’s an easy technique with cool results.. one of those where you never get exactly the same results twice. I hope you either enjoyed watching the live class yesterday, or will enjoy the replay I’ve posted below in this video!
The 2 cards above feature designs using punches, and I’ve also used die cuts with this technique.. those cards are below.
Free Technique Series Tutorial!
If you missed week 1 and week 2, see all the technique classes here.
Above: I started off experimenting with different punches, different shapes from the Watercolor Shapes set, different ink colors and just started stamping die cuts and scraps. It gave me a feel for what I liked best with this technique.
Below: using the Vintage Bottle punch, and Coastal Cabana ink, I stamped on a Tailor Made Tag die, then added the flowers and leaves from the Vintage Christmas stamp set.
Below: I created a faux shaker card with the Evergreen border punch (trees) and the fun For Everything Sequins. If you haven’t made a faux shaker yet, be sure to check out THIS VIDEO.
Don’t forget to download the tutorial for Ghost Stamping instructions, or watch the video at the bottom of this post. Or Both!
Below: Using a flower die cut from the Shaded Summer dies and the tiniest and largest squares from the Stylish Shapes dies, I made a sweet 4×4 card featuring the Hues of Happiness paper.
Lastly, a fall version, featuring the leaf die cut from the Ranunculus dies, Mango Melody ink and Pumpkin Pie ink.

These are all gorgeous Patty. You have inspired me to try this technique. Which embossing folder did you use on the You are such a blessing card? That one is my favorite. Love the foliage and color combo.
It’s the Twigs and Sprigs folder.. I included it in the supply list on the download, but forgot it on the blog post. You can get it here: https://www.stampinup.com/products/twigs-sprigs-embossing-folder-die?demoid=2274
