I love my Paper Drawer of Happiness!
This is a priceless craft room organization tip and time saving tool for me, and I highly recommend it for any card maker. Keep a Paper Drawer of happiness next to your work area so that you always have a variety of colors plus white cardstock to work with, without having to chop in to a full sheet.
You’ve also seen me use this in my card making videos when I get out several shades of cardstock to decide which ones I might like on my project.
If you are just starting out, my recommendation is to get the assortment packs of Stampin’ Up! cardstock plus a pack of white, and just start chopping. LINKS for shopping are below.
Here are the sizes I have in my drawer because I use them most:
- 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (1/4 sheets)
- 4-1/4″ x 11″ (card base)
- 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (card base)
But do what works best for you.

If you don’t have a spare empty drawer, grab a box or container that holds 1/4 sheets and start creating your assortment of 1/4 sheets.
