Flowers flowers flowers… I love flowers and I love creating Stampin Up! cards with flower stamps, flower die cuts and floral printed paper! Today's handstamped card features all 3!
I enjoyed creating several cards using the Rose Garden thinlit die and some watercolor paper I had left over from my High Tide Lighthouse cards (here). After I was done making several High Tide cards, I set aside the left over watercolored backgrounds and I knew I'd enjoy making something with them at a future date.
And.. ta-da! I used the leftover watercolor backgrounds with the Rose Garden thinlit and die cut pretty roses and leaves in my Big Shot!! I also die cut some dragonflies with the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits and the same watercolored backgrounds.
On the card above, I also decided to lightly stamp the floral image from the Wood Words stamp set over the water color background. I love how it turned out! Click HERE to see how to make that smoosh watercolor background!
I made the card above in May for Christine's birthday in June. I added the Live every moment sentiment from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set to the front, and also decided, why not make the inside pretty as well? I had the Wood Words flower stamp out, and an extra dragonfly die cut.. so…. this is what I did…
Easy crafting tip to adhere the dragonfly die cut to your card:
These are some of the backgrounds I created for the High Tide cards, and I die cut the large roses and leaves, as well as the dragonflies out of the left over pieces.
Here are the die cuts on the left over watercolor background pieces… neat way to use up extras, don't you think?
Rose Garden Thinlit dies are found on page 216 of the current 2017-2018 catalog, #140619 online here.
Click HERE for more info about how I like to store my thinlits and framelits on magnet sheets from Stamp-n-Storage.
The Wood Words stamp set is found on page 159 in the current Stampin' UP! catalog, or #143925 (wood mount) online, or #143928 (clear mount) in my online store here.
White Perfect Accents are great for flower centers, and the Powder Pink ribbon looks great on this card, too!
I added a strip of Powder Pink "Fresh Florals" designer paper on the right edge of this card to pull in that pretty pink color and more flowers.
