More flowers.. this time on cards!

I played with my Stampin’ Up! Pretties Kit today.. wow.. what fun!!  I can see I’ll be needing a few more kits to make all the ideas I have dancing in my head!!  These kits come with silk flowers, pearls, beads, rhinestone brads, hat pins and more!

I combined the Priceless stamp set (is this just the HOTTEST new set or WHAT!?) with the Fall Flowers Designer Series Papers and the Le Jardin Designer Series Papers with Groovy Guava and River Rock cardstock.  I used Groovy Guava, Blue Bayou and Wild Wasabi ink for the stamping.

To color the flowers, I used a Sponge Dauber and lightly brushed the color on.  See below for colors I used on each flower.

I accented the cards with the In Color Double Stitched Ribbon in Groovy Guava and Wild Wasabi.

Dsc06398_guava_flower_closeup_cop_2  I sponged the larger flower with the sponge dauber and Groovy Guava ink and did the same with the small flower, but only in the center, leaving a white contrast at the tips of each petal.

The center is the Rhinestone brad that comes in the Pretties kit

Dsc06404_flower_close_up_copy I sponge daubered (I think that’s a verb) the larger flower with Groovy Guava and some Apricot Appeal, also leaving portions of the flower white.   I sponged the small flower very lightly with Blue Bayou (be careful, it goes on DARK).

The center of this flower is the half back pearl that comes in the Pretties Kit, secured with a glue dot.
