October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In honor and memory of my mom who lost her battle to cancer a year ago, and in honor of my many friends who are Cancer SURVIVORS, I ask you to take a moment to consider the following options.
The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).
Consider making a donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. Many of my friends participate in the Race for the Cure and I’m always honored to help support them.
Thank you for your consideration, and TELL A FRIEND. AND don’t forget your annual mammogram!!
~ Patty
I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom Patty! Thank you for raising awareness by posting on your blog. It’s an important message for all women — whether they have a family history or not.
Consider it done, Patty. I’ve saved it in my favourites and promise you that I will click on it every day.
Patty, I’m sorry to hear about your mom. My mom is about ready to have her final surgery for her breast cancer. Thanks for raising awareness. I never thought about it much until my mom was diagnosed.
