Home repairs… almost done…

The best part about painting…. being done…

Dsc07916 Dsc07917

We got to do some painting this weekend after the drywall contractor finished spraying the texture on all the new sheetrock on Friday – we ONLY have 7 more gallons to go!! LOL

Here are a few pix from Friday (texturing the new drywall)…  crazy!

My mind is still boggled over the fact that all this happened over a broken pipe!  I don’t wish this on anyone!!

Silver linings to this whole ordeal:

  • I got an additional hose spigot in the backyard with the new piping
  • we ran phone wire through all the holes and put in 2 additional phone lines
  • the downstairs powder room is getting a much needed face lift after the 5 holes in there were repaired and the whole room was retextured
  • most of the downstairs will have a new coat of paint

So.. it’s not all bad… just a few weeks of total chaos and inconvenience and a ton of money.  {sigh}

I’m in the midst of stamping my "Holiday Gift Class" samples, so will have goodies to share sometime this week!

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Those photos speak volumes as to the magnitude of this entire mess. I can’t wait to see photos of your new walls with your Father’s paintings hanging on them again!

  5. Patty…you have the BEST attitude about all of the issues with your plumbing! I KNOW what a mess that drywall dust makes in the house from when we finished the basement in our new house…and that was BEFORE we moved in! Yikes!
    Hey…the best thing would be not having to worry about cooking dinner!
