All 12 Months of my Coaster Calendar

Many of you have asked to see all 12 months of my Coaster Calendar class.  Details can be found HERE and Bind It All info can be found HERE.  I got the calendars at www.vippies.com   We will replace the 2008 pages with 2009 next year.

You’ll notice many of the months use retired SU! DSP ……… if you could see the HUGE STACK of retired paper I have, you’d know why I opted to use it.. not only because it was the perfect pattern for that month, but because I think my 2nd floor is going to collapse if I keep piling packs of DSP up there!  LOL

ADDED ON 2-22-08:  I was asked how many coasters were used and what size coils did I use.. here is the info:

The entire calendar is 6 coasters.. the months are "back to back".  You can see it better here:
Instructions I found on line (after 1.5 hours of searching) said to measure the thickness of your finished project, and add 1/8" to 1/4" of an inch and that is the size of your coils.  So… we actually used both 5/8" and 3/4" coils in class (one size was black, one size was silver), and both worked fine.. it was a matter of which color each person wanted.
So for ordering coils or having them on hand, you really need quite a variety, since you don’t always know what the thickness of your final project will be until you are done (wow, that was profound, huh?) : )

  1. these are so cute! I love that you used some of the retired stuff. I have so much that I am considering doing the same for some of my classes.
I love the simplicity of the calendar.

  2. wow – thanks for the tip on the coil size. Still have yet to touch my Bind-It-All, and so I haven’t even gotten as far as to think about what coil size to use with different projects!

  3. Wonderful idea. My class ladies have been asking for a calendar and I think I’ve just found the right one for them. Thanks for the BIA coil info.
