My son's school asked me to help with a fundraiser idea.. to help them sell the script Gift Cards, they thought it would be fun for the kids to make Gift Card Holders. I brought several ideas to the Developement Director and we decided that the Gift Card Holder made from an envelope was the quickest way to start, and we'll see how this project goes.
The kids will have the opportunity to color these at the Harvest Festival this weekend.
I googled "Christmas Clip Art" and printed several images for them to color, and added some of our stamps to them. I also precut Stampin' Up! cardstock and ribbon for them to use.
If you haven't made this type of Gift Card Holder before.. it's really easy.. take a Medium Stampin' Up! envelope (107301 or 107300 or any of the Med. Env.) and open the flap, fold it in 1/2 (use the bone folder for a nice crease), then cut the flap on the fold line, seal the left 1/2 of the envelope flap shut, and leave the right side open to insert your gift card. Decorate the front and back, sandwiching an 18" length of ribbon between the cardstock and the envelope to tie it shut.
On Line Ordering Special while I'm away this week:

LOVE this idea Patty. We will be traveling the during the Christmas break and this will be the perfect way to give gifts without taking up car space! Thanks for sharing.

So clever and cute. Thanks for your wonderful ideas.
Great idea! I will be casing this idea. How did you find the clip art in just the outlines? The ones I find are colored in already.
These are adorable and what a great idea for the kids to decorate them! I just love these and have made them before. They are so simple and easy to create with fabulous results!!! Thanks for sharing Patty!
