Christmas Card 2008

I do this every year… I say I'll start stamping my Christmas cards in October so I can send one to all 250 people on our list… uh huh… .and it never happens… this year my excuse was that I had extra trips and obligations for the Stampin' Up! Advisory Board this fall (which has been a MOST amazing honor and experience I might add!).  :)

So thanks to inspiration from Barb, here is my simple card this year.. I think I got about 30 of them done:

Christmas card 08

(Edited to Add:  the "from our house to yours" stamp is from Bella's Blooms (111600) on pg 103)

I feed the birds (and squirrels) outside on our deck every morning (I call them my breakfast club) so I liked this design with birds in it.

Tonight I just need to fold letters and start stuffing envelopes..

Nothing like being TOTALLY last minute this year… ack!

Well, Merry Christmas to all…  hope your preparations are going smoothly!

  1. Don’t feel bad…I have 125 to make…still…and get out with our letter. Our son is being brought home from the airport as I type to come home for Christmas…so now that I’ve gotten what I wanted to get done for him arriving…tomorrow I start on our card! Hugs!

  3. Yay, I’m not the only one so far behind!! We just got the tree up last night, I’m still decorating it and won’t have time to finish until tomorrow night. I’ve made a few cards for close family, and I’ll have to be happy with that. Just not enough hours in the day!!

  4. Cute card. I love that you have a breakfast club. I hope that when I get moved to Kanab that I will have one too!
You are not alone in the late card making. I still don’t have mine done! Gasp.
    Merry Christmas.

  5. Patty – I am the same. Year after year I say I am going to work on the once a week for an hour or two throughout the year. That way when the rush is upon us I will be done. I just never happens. I never commit to it.
I love you simple card. I will have to do a few of those. I use the DSP and rub-Ons for my simple cards with the ever beautiful SU Ribbons.
And of course didn’t make the 15o I needed – I took my picture of Matt and Sam just last weekend and printed cards from Costco.com. Love them – fast and cheap!
Thanks for all that you have shared with me this year and for always being so generous with your ideas and time. I was so glad I was able to meet you In Utah at this years Convention.
Love to you and your family this Christmas Season and many blessings in 2009!
