I've heard from so many of my friends around the country who have already had several snow storms… so I thought I'd send you a little CALIFORNIA SUNSHINE from the San Francisco Bay Area… it's funny that we finally get "fall" in late December.. our trees finally turned autumn colors just in the last couple weeks. As you can see, the leaves haven't even fallen yet.. and we have gorgeous blue sky.. here is a photo from earlier this week (no, I did not retouch the colors in photoshop):
And I still have roses blooming… someone better tell them they are going to get pruned soon!
Hope you are having a great day..
Yeah, it took 1.5 HOURS to make the 15 minute drive to my parents’ house Christmas morning. We only got stuck twice. But the second time we had to be pulled out to the end of the street with the neighbor’s truck.
Did I mention we had a WHITE Christmas?
😉
I did´nt know that you have such a great weather in your area now! Wonderful pictures!
seeing those pictures I feel a little jealous but here in vt it wouldnt be christmas without snow.I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday.
Hmmm>>>I have a flight to SFO in a few hours patty….can I stay? LOL…Unfortunately I have to turn right around and head back to this Winter Wonderand…where it is again snowing…

Patty,
Thanks for the beautiful fall picture. It helped warm me up! We had snow here in New York but it rained on Christmas Eve and washed it all away. Have a happy and healthy New Year.
Karen
Here in Florida, we don’t ever get “fall” — no beautiful leaves like in your pictures. I’m jealous! 🙂
Omg I can´t believe that!!I am so jealous, too.
Here in Germany we did´t have snow at the moment, but it is very very cold and the wind is very frosty!!
I love your pictures, and I love your roses!!
Now I am dreaming I am in California……
Melanie
Thanks for posting those lovely photos! We usually vacation in Southern California this time of year but because of an unexpected early December trip to Bermuda we weren’t able to go.
I’m here in the West Coast of BC Canada for the holidays and our normally rainy December weather has surprised us with one snow storm after another.
We’ve had almost 3 feet of snow – fun to watch the kids and dogs in it! I don’t think there’s been this much snow here in over 20 years!
I haven’t left the house in 3 days and at one point the police closed the highway!!
You can be sure I’ll be booking our California Christmas vacation early for 2009!
OH—I’m dreamin’ of a California Christmas…it’s now raining on top of a huge amount of snow from the past few days. That’s New Brunswick; wait for a few hr. & it’ll be a different temperature, again. Happy New Year….keep up the great blog!
