The 4th project I taught in my Technique Book Class this week was how to use the Texturz Plates (pg 203 in the catalog). There are 6 plates, each are 2-sided and when you run them through the Big Shot, you have the option of 12 different textures for your cardstock!!
Here is the 6×6 page we made for our Technique Book – SEE BELOW FOR CLOSE UPS:
Texture on the background, the flower center and the Baja Breeze flower:
Texture and sponging on the Butterfly:
Use the solid "pattern" from the Baja Breeze DSP to die cut the flower shape and then SAND THE RAISED DOTS with the sanding block to make them white:
Have fun Texturizing your projects!
I wondered how you sanded the white until I came here and found out. It is DSP. I forget about this technique and need to do that. Love your page and the technique is a good one to show Big Shot customers!
Wonderful idea and it looks so easy. I’m going to have to give it a try.
Gorgeous butterflies…ah Spring…so inspirational!!
Wonderful!
Patty…what a cool demonstration of this technique! And…a beautiful end product. I LOVE the sanded look!
I’m also inspired by your 6×6 techniques class. I do a techniques class, but “trapping” the ideas in a finished album is a wonderful idea.
Thanks for sharing what you’re doing!!
You are so clever! Love this sanding!
