Stamp A Stack Class – part 2 – Medallion Card

The Medallion Stamp (item 115223 – pg 133) is my VERY VERY VERY FAVORITE new stamp in the NEW Stampin' UP! Catalog… and I know it's a fave of many of you too!!

I saw this color combo somewhere on line and loved it… Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke!  whoohooo!!  This is a quick and easy card for our STAMP A STACK class this week:

Sas july 09 medallion card

TIP:   I inked the Brayer (item 102395 – pg 192) with the Rich Razzleberry ink and rolled it ONTO the stamp.. that is a GREAT way to get fabulous coverage on large and bold image stamps.  To SEASON your bold stamps, check out my tip HERE.

Remember the Jumbo Grommets I blogged about last month??  I'm SOOOOOOOOO glad they are in the new catalog!!

After setting the white Jumbo Grommet (item 114348 – pg 179), I poked a hole in the center with my FABULOUS new Paper Piercing Tool (whooooooohoooooooo Stampin' Up! for putting it by itself in the catalog!!! -item 116631 - pg 191), and set a white 5/16" brad in the center (item 112534 -pg 179).

  2. Once again, a beautiful card! What a great way to ink a large stamp. I’m thinking of trying this with the new wood grain background stamp.

  4. I saw that stamp in the catty, and I knew it would be on my first order, which, sadly, hasn’t gone in yet. I do think it is a great stamp, though, and can’t wait to try it. Love the grommet and brad, too. Guess those have to be on that order now, too. lol PLUS the piercing tool, oh my, I need to get another job.

  8. This, too, is my fave from the new catty. It will be waiting for me when I get home from vacation – yay! Thanks for the tip on conditioning stamps – I’ve used the eraser trick before, but it takes a lot of work to get it just right. Will try my sanding blocks or the StazOn cleaner like Pat’s link mentioned. Fabulous card, Patty – love the grommet and large brad – really finishes it off.

  10. When I first saw this stamp in the catalog, I thought it was too large and I wasn’t sure if I would want to use it on a card. But your gorgeous card has changed my mind 🙂
