Control Freaks Blog Tour!!

Blog tour projects

Dinnblogtour It's that time again.. the 20th of the month… and that can only mean ONE FABULOUS THING….

CONTROL FREAKS BLOG TOUR TIME!!

This month our theme is "Christmas Gifts"…  anything made with wonderful Stampin' Up! products that we might make to give as a gift… so… grab your favorite drink, sit back, relax and come along on our Blog Tour!!

Here is my first project.. a framed DECOR ELEMENTS piece.  I used some of my FREE DECOR ELEMENTS pieces I recieved when I ordered products from our Holiday Gift-Giving Guide!

DE jingle frame

This frame is 11"x14" so I cut my base paper piece to 11×12. It is from the Christmas Cocoa Holiday DSP pack (item 116770, pg 21 Holiday Mini).  I also used a strip of the red/white flocked paper from that package and a strip of red polka dotted ribbon.  The Decor Elements pieces are the Real Red and Chocolate Chip "Vintage Ornaments" on pg 9 of the Definitely Decorative Brochure.

I added the bows on top of the glass with Glue Dots so they wouldn't be "squished" under the glass.

My 2nd project is this FABULOUS die cut Fancy Favor Box… it is cut out of our Thick Window Sheets, and embossed with the Finial Press Embossing Folder !!!  YES IT WORKS !!!!!!!

Fancy favor window sheet

Isn't this just tooooooooooooooooooo totally gorgeous!!??  this idea came from Tara Bazata.. it's fabulous!!  :)

Use our THICK window sheets (item: 114324, pg 158) which come in 12×12, so cut it in 1/2 at 6×12, run it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Favor Box die and then run it through the Big Shot AGAIN with the Finial Press Embossing folder (you'll need to do that twice, once at each end.  I had to cut 1/2" off the "flap" to get the embossing folder design to "meet" in the middle).

Use Sticky Strip on the "flap" and on the bottom to hold your box together.

Lastly , here is a fun card you might make for a very special someone… one of our Sweet Treat Cups (item 116802, pg 7) and the darling Simple Seasonal Thanks Snowman stamp (item 111548, pg 28) - both found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  This card also features the incredible printed snowflake window sheets, also in the Holiday Mini catalog. (item: 116805, pg 27)

Use a mini envelope inside with a 3"x4" pull up piece of snowflake window sheet to allow the recipient to access the candy without destroying the card.
