I have been really obsessed with wanting to try to make these pins, and a few days ago, I saw this AWESOME VIDEO by Christy Daugherty and I thought WOW… OK… I CAN DO THIS!! Thanks Christy for the awesome instructions! This project idea was originally shown on stage at our Stampin' Up! Convention in August 2009 by company owner Shelli Gardner and I've been intrigued by this idea ever since!
Here are 3 of the 4 pins I made tonight… I love black, white and red, so decided to stick within that theme to start off with:
These are soooooooooo quick and easy to make because you cut the fabric flowers out with our FLOWER FOLDS DIE and the STAMPIN' UP! BIG SHOT!!!! I just hot glued everything together per Christy's video… so this truly is a quick and easy project.
FLOWER FOLDS BIGZ XL DIE, #115970, $42.95
I wanted to make a pin specfically for my NEW VERA BRADLEY tote bag (that my awesome brother and his wife gave me for Christmas!!!)… so here is what I came up with:
It really looks even better in person.. if you are going to Leadership this coming week you'll have to stop me to come see it 🙂
Here is my pile.. do you think I have enough to make about 50 more ?? 🙂
Here is how the flowers start:

Wow Patty, what a beautiful bag, and that flower just adds a ZING too it!!

That flower die seems like a good deal.

As usual, brilliant!!! I wonder if you realize how much enthusiasm you exude when you post. You are SO inspirational and it seems just so natural to you. Thanks not only for sharing your perpetual creativity but for sharing YOU!!!
I saw Dawns over at Dawns Stampin’ Thoughts do these. These are great
Thanks Patty for your kind words! I also have more flower ideas on my blog using different fabric, etc…

Your flower pins are gorgeous, I especially love the one you made for your Vera Bradley Bag! I was a lucky recipient of one of these pins, made by one of my sideline at our Christmas Party! I really love it! I may have to try making some of these myself, they make wonderful gifts!
Patty…I love it and want one of my own now.
Patty, they are adorable, I love them, can’t wait to see them and you at Leadership! See you in a couple days wooohooooo!!
