Fancy Favor Valentine Pouch

My friend Jan Wakeland is AMAZING… she blogged this idea awhile back and I KNEW I had to share it at my Valentine class!!!!!

Heart favor 1

I know.. you are saying, "OK, and WHAT'S so amazing about this!?"… well…… look what it is made out of:

Favor die 1

It's made from the Fancy Favor Die Box cut out with the BIG SHOT!  (item 115965 – only like THE BEST die in the catalog!)

As you can see..only PART of the Fancy Favor Die Box has been used.. you cut off about 1/4 of it… and the GREAT NEWS about this project is….  to cut this part of the Fancy Favor Die ONLY TAKES 1/2 OF A SHEET OF 8-1/2" x 11" CARDSTOCK!!! WHOOOHOOO!

Then you fold the middle flap up and punch with the Heart Punch:

Favor die 2
Favor die 3

Then fold up all the bottom flaps and tuck one side into the other.. secure with a small piece of sticky strip.
Favor die 4

I added the Sweetheart Treat Cup in the opening and finished it off with some Sending Love DSP.  I used a "tag" from the Two Tags Die to slip into the pouch and that kind of holds the candy in.  All ordering info is below.

This is how the back side will look:

  1. How cute, cute, cute! I always love it when you post your projects with detailed pictures. I am going to get my die out and see if I can re-create this…

  2. Fantastic, Patty! TFS – don’t think I caught it on Janet’s blog. We are making my Fancy Favor luminary at my stamp camps this weekend – I’m going to try to whip one of these adorable treats up to show as yet ANOTHER way to use this fabulous die – I totally agree with you – it is one of the best – along with Box #2 – for versatility.

  3. Patty–Yup, I am going to try this for my club tomorrow night–I have a mix of heart & circle pouches left over so they’ll have to choose!
Just hope I can punch through all the cs–it’s hard for me!
Thanks for a great project. I LOVE your blog–it’s so full of great ideas!
