Finished Purses from Scallop Die Purse Class

As promised.. here are the results of all our hard work at the Fabric Purse class last weekend! See previous purse class posts HERE, HERE and HERE for more info.

The purses use the Scallop Square Die and the Big Shot.  I was easily able to cut 6 layers of my heavy cotton fabric at once with the die.. it makes the project go so quickly!  Those using regular weight cotton fabrics cut 8 layers at once!

  1. Thanks for posting the wonderful purses. I love them all, and would like to have one of each, please. Lol. My how different they look when you turn them inside out. I can’t decide which side I like better. Maybe the rag side for everyday, and the smooth side for Church, and going out someplace nice. That is so cool, you get 2 purses for the price of one. Just think, you could put totally different fabrics on the inside and have 2 totally different purses! You could call them the 2fer purse. hee, hee. I think that we all need to tell our DH’s that there will be no more laundry, house cleaning, running errands or cooking, we are all going to be too busy making cards, MDS projects, scrapbook pages, 3D items, fabric flowers, purses, and I saw on another site, hair bows and brooches. I wonder just what our DH’s would think of that? We could always say “but Honey, look at all of the money I’ll be making”. Do you think that it would work? Oh how I wish, and dream. Lol. To be able to do nothing but hold classes and craft all day long. Now that is the Life. Have a wonderful day. Here the sun is shining brightly and the weekend is supposed to be beautiful.

  5. I just love all the totes – the variety of materials is fun to see! I have a stack of old blue jeans I am going to cut up and have a tote made with jean material and I wonder if corduroy would work as well. I can’t wait to get some more made.
