Flowers, Weddings and Mother's Day!
WELCOME to the APRIL 2010 Control Freaks Blog Tour !!!
You have probably joined me after visiting Dannie's blog, and you can click on the "next blog" link at the bottom of the post to continue on the tour 🙂
I decided to feature some My Digital Studio projects for my blog tour submissions… I LOVE the new download called SPRING SHADES DSP.. these GORGEOUS FLOWER PATTERNS are NOT found in any of our catalogs, but at this time are exclusive to MDS !! I'm HOPING they make it in the new catalog this summer! 🙂
My first MDS card using Spring Shades DSP is a "For My Friend" card. Here is the front. The frame portion with the words in it is actually from the Recipies by Design download! I just used a portion of it. It's so fun to play with MDS designs!
Here is the inside… DON'T YOU LOVE THE GORGEOUS FLOWERS IN THIS PAPER DESIGN!?
So.. then .. I got to thinking…. one of the THEME's of this month's blog tour is WEDDINGS… so…. TRAVEL BACK IN TIME WITH ME 24 YEARS IF YOU WILL….. I decided to design a WEDDING INVITATION for my husband and I … this is what I came up with…. if I would have had MDS in 1986, I think this is what I'd design and have printed for us:
And of course I had to make a coordinating Thank You card… both the invite and the TY card are 6×6 in size.
I hope you have a wonderful week and ENJOY THE BLOG TOUR!

Awesome idea to use the MDS for the wedding invite.
Yes, I DO love that floral paper! Gorgeous!
You are just ROCKIN’ that MDS! I love what you’ve been doing with it lately!
Wooow…. I am just so impressed with your projects! The colors are gor-geous!!! You’re making me wish I could sit down and give the MDS a spin right now!
Very nicely done! 🙂

Great MDS project Patty!
Beautiful! I love this one! I’ve only been using my MDS for scrapping. You’re convincing me I’ll like it for cards too.
How wonderful. I love what you do with the MDS. How did you get so talented with it>

WOW – apparantly I need to be more active with my MDS !!
Patty, these are gorgeous. I guess I really need to push my son to fix my computer so I can load my MDS onto it.
How I wish we could have MDS in Quebec! Looking at your projects and wonderful blog banner, I know I could create amazing projects too. TFS 🙂
You are the queen of MDS, Patty! Love your projects this month!
Patty:) this is so elegant & gorgeous’ even if it is for the past or present; thank you for continuing to share your designs!
Wonderful projects, Patty. I love that paper. I have it downloaded, but just never used it or looked at it yet. Oh boy, is it ever beautiful…I am going to have to get my butt cracking and make some things up with it. How could I have let it sit so long? I guess because it doesn’t look like too much from the download. I really love the colors on the Wedding Invitation, and the Invitation and Thank You Card themselves are really neat. Great going by the way. Are you ever going to be offering classes in MDS? I would be the first to sign up! Please do let me know if this should happen in the future. Have a wonderful day.
