Loved this pull out card idea… complete with a darling pinwheel on the front!

DSCN3207 copy
For the pinwheel, she cut a square of DSP, drew an X from corner to corner with a pencil, then cut with scisssors ALMOST to the center on each line (leave about 3/4").

Poke a hole in the center with the pokey tool (Paper Piercer).

punch a 1/16" hole in each corner

put a brad in one hole at the corner and bring it to the center and repeat with each corner until they all pull to the middle. . then secure it to the card with the same brad.

  1. Patti, I’m with you! For me, this presentation was the highlight of the Convention. You could just live off the love the two of them shared for each other. I truly loved their story and then they sang their song!! What more could you ask for!! Thank you so much for taking these pictures and sharing this great moment with us again (I say “us” because you really had to be there to see this act in person to really understand why they are so loved.)

Thank you for posting all the pictures!

  3. Hi Patti, love the textured chipboard idea!! What is the silver looking circle around the center of the flower? Also, I see to ink the chipboard with ink refill, not the stamp pad.

  4. Patti, since I was at a wedding instead of convention this year I missed out. THanks for sharing a recap on your blog. How did they emboss the chipboard. I thought it was too thick to do? Is there a secret? Do they spray it with water first? I would love to know.

  5. I’m glad to see that you were able to get really good pictures of this demonstration – and others. I fell in love with dry embossing on chipboard and I had a class on the Saturday after we returned and we did the small butterfly from the butterfly die set and the card turned out great! This was so fun and the ladies loved the way it looks.

  7. Hi Patty, thank you for the wonderful pix, they sure make me feel as if I were almost there. You are a true artist with that camera of yours. Do you know if they used a flower from a Chipboard Kit, or did they use the Longboard and a Die? I would really love to be able to make this. What did they use for the center circle around the inside of the flower, do you happen to know at all? I know, too many questions for one person to have to answer. Lol. I sure do appreciate all that you do and show us to make things easier on us. Once again, thanks for sharing, I love it when you do!!!

  9. Well aren’t you just Da Bomb! Thanks for your kind words and support Patty. Jill and I had so much fun rehearsing. We’d say to our colleagues, sorry I can’t attend that meeting, I have a song and dance rehearsal! Good times…now on to Leadership! Don’t miss it.
