Beveled Windowpane Class - Necklace

Here is the necklace we made in the Beveled Windowpane class:

Here are the steps.. I'm sure there are other ways to make it, but this is what I did:

Below, Step 1: cut your choice of DSP to measure the same size as your beveled windowpane. I used First Edition DSP and stamped it with an image from Elements of Style. Cut a smaller piece if you wish to stamp an initial. Snail these layers together. We used the Lovely Letters Alphabet set.

Below, Step 2: cut a piece of cardstock the same size as the DSP, snail together (for thickness and stability)

Below, step 3: cut about 6" of taffeta ribbon and feed thru holes in the windowpane as shown below (we used Basic Black Taffeta ribbon) :

Below, Step 4: bring tails of the ribbon to the back and snail them down to the cardstock backing.

Below, Step 5: cut about 2-1/2" of taffeta ribbon and make a loop at the top, securing to the back with snail.

Below, Step 6: Cut additional DSP & cardstock to the size of the window pane and decorate as desired, THIS IS THE BACK of the necklace. Add several Stampin' Dimenionals to the back of it and adhere it to the back of the necklace as shown below:

Below, Step 7: Your necklace should look like this from the back, like a little sandwich behind the windowpane

Below, Step 8: your necklace should look like this from the front. We added an Antique Brad to the front with a Stampin' Dimensional.. cut off the legs of the brad with your Craft & Rubber cutting scissors as shown below.

Cut desired length of ribbon to string around your neck. Clip on a Trinket Key or your choice of embellishment. Knot ribbon at back of neck, or finish with jewelry findings/clasp if desired.
