Freakwelcome

WELCOME to the February 2012 Control Freaks Blog Tour!!!

We are showcasing PROJECTS USING DIE CUTS and the BIG SHOT in this tour.

You have probably joined me after visiting Jason Casper's blog, and you can click on the "next blog" link at the bottom of the post to continue on the tour.  (All of our projects will be live no later than Monday morning.. if you are joining me Sunday night, you may need to check back tomorrow if all links are not quite working yet.)

My first couple of projects feature the new Labels Collection Framelit dies from the Stampin' Up! Occasions mini catalog.. you'll find them on pg 6 and pg 24, item #125598.

I've cut out shapes with them as well as "embossed" with them.. you'll notice the beautiful raised edges.. isn't this gorgeous!?  Check back on Tuesday, I'll have a VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR YOU !!

My last project featuring a Big Shot die showcases the Elegant Bird Die as a decorative plant stake.  You will also find this die in the Occasions Mini catalog (pg 10) #125593. I used roofing flashing from the hardware store for die cutting this in the Big Shot and then embossed it with the Polkadot embossing folder (#117335).   I love this idea for making fun accents for your garden.. it comes from demonstrator Linda Barnes.  She presented this idea at the Stampin' Up! San Antonio Regional seminar.
