How may times have you thought about using the Antique Brads (#117273) but then decided not to use them because it wasn't quite the right color!? WELL.. problem solved.. emboss it with ANY color embossing powder to customize it for your project!

I never thought to emboss the antique brads! Great idea. I’ve been embossing regular brads to customize to my projects for years. I use a different technique however. I heat up the brad, held with tweezers, first, then I dip it in the EP of my choice. The heat makes it melt right into the brad without the need of VM. Don’t know if that same method would work with the antique brads since they are more detailed, so using the VM seems to be the best way to capture the details on those antique brads.

Great technique, Patty! I have embossed regular brads for a long time, but never thought of doing it with the Antique brads. They look so beautiful!! Thanks for sharing.
