You've probably seen this "Painter's Tape Technique" around on the internet or on Pinterest… I decided to try it in my recent class and workshop and everyone loved it!!

Painters-tape-thank-you-fall

I used the 1-1/2" wide Painters Tape for the card above… rip off strips of about 5" long, lay it across your open ink pad and transfer some ink with your fingertip to the tape (lightly) then lay the inky Painter's Tape on your cardstock, press with your fingertip, and voila… a cool ink pattern!

We repeated that process with Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Baked Brown Sugar for the card above on Very Vanilla cardstock, then stamped THANK YOU from "Another Thank You" clear photopolymer set in Cajun Craze ink.  Mount it on a folded Cajun Craze card.  Add Candy Dots, and done!

BELOW: And here is an alternate take on the card above… not sure if you did this but I remember a time in Jr. High and High School that I did a "drop shadow" with a marker on EVERYTHING .. I like how this pops the image off the page a bit:
