Seriously.. what do you do when you need 250 Black Candy Dots?
Answer #1: buy 25 Packs of Neutrals Candy dots and use only the black ones
or
Answer #2: Buy 3 packs and color them all black with your Sharpie Marker
Although I know Stampin' Up! would have been very happy had I ordered the 25 packages, I opted to use my trusty Black Sharpie marker and color 3 packages of them black 🙂

Oh ya.. so WHY did I need 250 Black Candy Dots?
For my upcoming Founder's Circle Swaps! 🙂
I created the background and inside using My Digital Studio, had them printed at the Stampin' Up! print service, then added ribbon and the tags, and of course the Candy Dots!
Hybrid elements/accessories added to the My Digital Studio card:
Black Chevron Ribbon #130010
Neutral Candy Dots #130934
Chalk Talk stamp set #130631 / 130634
or Chalk Talk BUNDLE (SAVE 15%!!) 132731 / 132730
Creative Elements stamp set #128523 / 122647
Extra-Large oval punch #119859
I saw a similar card idea on a video that Barbara-Jean created.. she's published some AWESOME MDS videos.. Thank you for the idea!
I played around with a few other ideas before settling on the design above..
Below are some of the other prototype ideas I created…
Thanks to my faithful customers and my amazingly talented downline, I was blessed again this year to place in the top 100 of Stampin' Up! (7 years in a row!), thus earning a trip to Utah this coming week to be with my Founder's Circle peers… I am really excited to see my friends!!
When I was working on these swaps in my stamp room, I was skyping with Wendy and her daughter Macie… it's fun to pass the time that way!
I hope your weekend was wonderful everyone… chat with you later..

Absolutely brilliant!
HAHA! Look at us! First your swaps are BEAUTIFUL! What a fun thing you did by posting our pic 😉 Macie says: “This is Miss Patty’s blog?, she made a pretty card. I love pink and black”
XOXO
Very elegant cards, Patty! I’m sure they will be a big hit.
If you take suggestions for videos/tutorials, I have one. I would love to see some instructions on how you do your one sided note cards. There are so many times that I need to write a short note and I would love to have something pretty to use. I have trouble finding that balance between embellishments and writing space. I want to make some and pair them with a punch board envelope.
Thanks,
Susan
Holy buckets of cards Girl!!!! Very elegant too! Excellent idea on the candy dots. I am hoping that SU comes out with different shapes and sizes of candy dots; especially, hearts, ovals, squares, diamonds and on and on. I’m addicted to them and glad to know that I can use a sharpie to color them. Thanks so much for sharing!
Absolutely gorgeous cards Patty!!! And the trick with coloring the candy dots black….GENIUS! Have a great time at Founder’s Circle!
Patty,
Looks like you had a stamp-tabulous time at founder’s circle in Utah! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Pam
Great card, love the colours and especially the pink feathers … what DSP set is this from?
Coloring is easier…!
I just saw this tip and my mind is blown! Thank you so much!
