I really love this new Vivid Vases single stamp featured on page 20 of the 2014 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog (or here online), but I wanted to add some STEMS to the flowers… so.. check out what I did!

DId you notice the difference?

I added stems to one of the cards!

Here's how I made my Vivid Vases cards with the Aqua Painters, Watercolor paper and Stampin Write markers

STEP 1: stamp the Vivid Vases image with the Black Staz On ink pad on Watercolor Paper

STEP 2: fill Aqua Painter with water, press the lid of the Pool Party ink pad onto the closed pad, open pad and use that ink spot to pick up ink with your Aqua Painter, paint onto vases

STEP 3: color in flowers, leaves and stems with Stampin' Write markers, once the Pool Party wet ink is dry

STEP 4: add stems with a fine point permanent marker, like this Sharpie marker shown below

So, what do you think.. pretty neat option to have stems… right?

I mounted the piece of stamped Watercolor Paper onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock, then onto a printed Watercolor Wonder Note Card with some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding ribbon tied around the card for a pop of color.
