Sara Douglass told me they would be sending flowers and making a special card for me.. she asked what my favorite DSP or stamp set was, and of course I said English Garden designer paper!!!

Look at this gorgeous envelope they created out of the English Garden designer paper.. I am sure it's sponged and spritzed to give it extra background color.. it is stunning!!! It's even sewn on a sewing machine!!!!

Of course I couldn't even open it til I took like 20 pictures of it!! 🙂

Then I opened it.. STUNNING!! What a gorgeous card, with a sweet handwritten note from Sara inside!

Congratulations, Patty Bennett!

Patty Bennett got the official news that she crossed the one million career-to-date sales milestone while on a bus ride to the airport-heading home after the last Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle. She celebrated with about 30 of her dear Stampin' Up! friends. "The entire bus was cheering! Not only cheering, but taking videos and photos of me as I checked my phone to see if that order had been placed!" There must have been a whirlwind of emotions during that two-hour bus ride as she reflected about her 20-year ride at Stampin' Up!

She shares, "I think about all of the people who have purchased products from me, about how our catalogs and products have changed, about how many UPS deliveries that would be, about how excited I am to come to the home office for my two-day visit, and about my loyal customers, family, and friends who have shared this journey with me!" Well, Patty, as you imagine all of those UPS boxes, we hope you can see a big CONGRATULATIONS stamped across each and every one of them! We are so excited for you and this gigantic accomplishment!

There's no doubt that Patty couldn't wait to get home to California and share the moment with her sweet husband of 29 years, Eric, and their son, Jason. They have been her sounding board and support system all these years. "[They] know everything about my business and I am so blessed that they will listen to me hash out ideas and challenges. They always give me amazing advice. They are there to help me when I ask them to cut and bag up stamping supplies, put labels on catalogs, help me take loads of packages to the post office, but most of all to give me a hug with each and every accomplishment along the way! They are my biggest cheerleaders!"

Every demonstrator's journey is different and for Patty, things really started to accelerate about eight years ago when she started her blog. "I really just wanted to share what I was up to; then, when online ordering became available, I started to see some orders come along as a result of my blog posts. When I started to incorporate YouTube videos and social media my sales really started to grow. Back then, I spent many hours studying those who had a blog or did YouTube videos to try to learn tips and 'figure it all out.' It's a continual learning process and growing experience, and I look forward to creating and sharing each project on my blog! It truly feeds my soul and makes me happy to teach and inspire others through my sharing!" She admits that she has come a long way since the days of letting her fax machine redial all night to fax (yes, fax!) in her orders. Thank goodness we've come a long way together!

We always love to know what inspires our demonstrators and Patty didn't hesitate to answer: "God's handiwork in nature inspires me with color combinations, textures, and pattern ideas that I would never think of. . . I love to adapt what I see in the world around me to a stamped project! My fellow demonstrators and crafty friends inspire me all the time, as well!" She gives credit to her wonderful parents for her creative side saying, "My dad is an artist and architect, and my mom was a quilter and gardener, so art and design are in my blood." It shows in her beautifully stamped cards that she shares regularly on her blog and with her customers in person.

Patty has been blessed with the tremendous support of an amazing team leader, and says she will never forget what Sandy Hancock said to her when she called to sign up: "Praise the Lord!" Patty hadn't even been to an official workshop, but she had been stamping since the 80s, LOVED the products, and got going right away-teaching her first classes the very week her Starter Kit arrived. She not only feels the support from her team leader, but passes it on to her group, too. She shares, "I love stamping with my Luv 2 Stamp Group [team] members-that is truly my 'stamp for fun' time!" We're confident that they love stamping with her, too! How could you not?

In 20 years as a demonstrator, you're going to face some difficulties, but that hasn't stopped Patty. She shares, "all the technical stuff has been my biggest challenge, but also one of my biggest accomplishments." She's grateful for friends and family who have helped her along the way as she has learned all she can about technology and social media. "My advice is to take it one piece at a time. . .  don't try to tackle it all at once if it's also one of your challenges! (Oh, and make Google your friend.)" She also encourages new demonstrators to seek advice from those around them and to not try to do it all on your own.

Patty did not hesitate to thank everyone who helped her reach this milestone (on her blog, of course!) and celebrated with prizes for those who pushed her over the million dollar mark. She keeps on working hard and accomplishing her goals because of her love of the products and people. "I love that I can call Shelli and Sara my friends, I love that people at the home office care about me! I love to stamp!  And I could not imagine my life without the friendships I have made through my customers and my fellow demonstrators all over the world!" Well, the feeling is mutual, Patty. We absolutely love you, support you, can't wait for our celebration with you, and look forward to your next big accomplishment. Enjoy the ride!
