One of the cards I stamped for our son Jason's birthday last month is this fun penguin card!
Why Penguins? Jason and I love them!! 🙂
The cute penguins are so easy to stamp and die cut using the matching Big Shot Framelit dies!! yay!
The festive birthday patterned paper I used on this card is from the Cherry on Top paper stack.
Jason and I have been collecting stuffed penguins for about 20 years. We have a huge collection that comes out to be displayed only at Christmas. I haven't counted but I think we have over 50 now!
Below: this was a scrapbook page that I made many years ago.. I sure wish I would have kept that penguin wheel!!!
The Snow Place / Snow Friends stamp set and big shot framelit bundle debuted in the Holiday catalog last fall but it's still available – see page 48 in the Occasions catalog for all the fun bundles that are still available from the Holiday catalog.
I used lots of layers when assembling his penguin card, and tons of Stampin' Dimensionals.
The penguins are stamped in Archival Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock and die cut with the matching framelits in my Big Shot. The balloons are punched out of scraps of designer paper using the Balloon Bouquet punch.
I also used a strip of the (retired) Sale a Bration glitter tape so that it kind of looked like they were standing on snow!
