How to Stamp and Punch Bunch of Blossoms – Stampin’ UP!

Today I have 4 Stamping Tips for you in this Bunch of Blossoms Stampin' Up! card blog post!

As the greeting on this card says, "Today is the perfect day to be happy"… and the day I stamped this card was a happy day because I stamped it with my fabulous stamping buddy Cindee!

Cindee and I stamped together last week and this was one of the cards we created!  We have to give credit to Robin Merriman for the idea of stamping the Watercolor Wash background on the embossed brick wall cardstock and to Becky Roberts for the flower, flourish and dots background idea!  We combined some favorite Pinterest ideas for this card!

I have 4 crafty tips for you today…

  1. How to stamp and layer the blossom petals
  2. How to use your Bone Folder and Dimensionals to make the petals 3-d
  3. How to make a 'natural' embellishment with fibers from Burlap ribbon
  4. Use Wink of Stella to add a shimmer to your petals

I saw that Cindee was curling each petal with her bone folder and I thought "BRILLIANT!" 🙂 so I copied her, then we added double Stampin' Dimensionals under each petal to give it a pretty 3-d effect!

Crafting Tip: Curl each petal with a bone folder, then use DOUBLE Stampin' Dimensionals under each Bunch of Blossoms punched petal for dimension!

Below are some the supplies we used – see the bottom of this post for ALL ordering info:

  • Stampin' UP! Bunch of Blossoms stamp set / punch bundle #142345 – page 69
  • Stampin' UP! Watercolor Wash background stamp #138704 (wood) or 139538 (clear) – page 124
  • Brick Wall embossing folder #138288 – page 195

So here was the trick to this fun background… first cut your Whisper White cardstock to 3-3/4" x 5" and use Early Espresso ink to stamp the flourish and dots from the Timeless Textures stamp set.  Then emboss it with the Brick Wall embossing folder in the Big Shot.   Then, ink the Watercolor wash background stamp with Crumb Cake ink and stamp right over the embossed wall!

Layer this embossed piece onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Peekaboo Peach, then onto a folded Calypso Coral card.

Have you tried this before?  We pulled fibers from the Burlap Ribbon #141487 and tied it like twine around the card.  It goes perfect with the natural look of this card!

And of course, what project is complete until you add Wink of Stella!!? :)  We added some clear Wink of Stella on the petals then "flicked" some Gold Wink of Stella onto the flower (see the tiny gold spots?).
