In my stamped sample today, I created a card using the Jar of Love stamp set and the new Thoughtful Branches stamp set.

This gorgeous color combo of Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green, Soft Suede and Pool Party is just so soothing, rich and comforting!!  I love it!

I created this card when I stamped with my sweet friend Cindee and she suggested using Basic Gray for the jar instead of black, and I love how it looks!  After I finished my jar, flowers, stems and greeting, I decided that my jar was "floating" on the card, so, I masked the bottom of the jar with a Post-It note, and stamped the Timeless Textures image in Crumb Cake to give the jar somewhere to "sit".

I thought we used Garden Green cardstock, but I know we used Wild Wasabi ink… either one is a great pairing with Elegant Eggplant!

  1. Good morning Patty,,,,, Very pretty card. Some very good tips, like adding the Timeless Textures stamp under the jar. It looks better than just the jar sitting on nothing and I like the Basic Gray better than the black. I like how you cut a few of the flowers out and used dimensions behind them. It looks great. Added dimension always looks so nice. Like I said before I learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

  2. Howdy from Texas: It’s your friend in the sweltering heat in North Texas. Love your card. It has great possibilities of being some what of a bluebonnet which is our state flower. Will see what I can do and will send to you. Agree totally, you are so inspiring, giving, thoughtful and have given me the opportunity to spread my wings using different techniques, using stampin’ up products in more than what it was originally designed.
