Halloween Sneak Peek – Holiday Catalog 2016

When I opened my Bold Botanicals August Paper Pumpkin kit, the first thing I thought of was a spooky sky!!  Did you think of that, too?

So I created some Halloween cards using the backgrounds and folded cards from the Paper Pumpkin kit, and my brand new Spooky Fun stamp set, and Halloween Scenes Edgelit dies!!  This stamp set and edgelit die combo is actually a money-saving bundle on page 52 of the new 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog!

Seriously.. don't you just see that spooky sky??  I love it!  I also used the circle from the Paper Pumpkin kit, and die cut the scalloped border with the Layering Circles framelits from a piece in the August kit.

I die cut the tree, fence, pumpkins, bats, flying witch and tombstones with the Halloween Scenes edgelit dies .. you'll find these on page 52 in the new Holiday catalog.  Don't have a catalog?  Let me know.. I'll make sure you are on my list to receive one!

Above.. I added some new Delightful Dijon grosgrain ribbon and Halloween Night Bakers Twine (pages 47 and 51) to the edge of this card.  I also added polkadot patterned paper from the Halloween Night Designer Series paper pack!

  1. I must admit that when my Paper Pumpkin kit arrived I was not thrilled with it. Now that I see what you have created as alternatives, I can’t wait to “play” with my kit. Thank you SO much for sharing your creativity with us.

Love, love, love the paper pumpkin idea. Those cards are beautiful. I can’t wait to order the Halloween scene framelits and the spooky stamp set. I can’t believe the holidays are almost here again. This year has gone by so fast. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us all. I also enjoyed your paper storage idea for 12×12 paper. Love how organized your craft room is.
