Stampin Up! Totally Trees Cards

Well, somehow it is November already… I seriously don't have any idea how that happened.. wasn't it just summer???

That crazy thought aside… it's time to think fall and send cards to family and friends to celebrate this time of year when we reflect on being especially thankful for our loved ones.

I created 2 cards with the Totally Trees stamp set to celebrate the Fall season. The Totally Trees stamp set is found on page 48 in the Holiday catalog, and has 27 pieces, so that you can create dozens of different trees! See it HERE online.

I stamped on Whisper White cardstock, about 2-3/4" x 4" and layered it onto colored cardstock then onto a Whisper White note card. See them here.

Both of my fall cards today feature the cute fence die cut from the Halloween Scenes Edgelit die set, and fall trees stamped with the Totally Trees stamp set.

For the card above I wanted a blue sky but didn't want to color over the trees, so I masked them with pieces of Post-It notes before sponging some Pool Party ink over the top portion of the card with my Sponge Dauber.

The greeting on the card above is from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set.

I left the sky white on the card below but did sponge the edge of the white piece with Pumpkin Pie ink and my sponge dauber.

To stamp the leaves on the tree, I used one stamp and inked it in different colors each time I stamped it. I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.

Stampin' Tip: I loved the plaid pattern in the Warmth & Cheer paper stack but I toned down the whole pattern with some Crushed Curry ink on my Sponge Brayer before putting the layers together.

What do you think? Great way to change the look of the paper!!

And of course.. what card is complete without some Wink of Stella glimmer?? I put dabs of Gold Wink of Stella on the leaves on this card.. super pretty in person.. difficult to capture on film.
