I had the best time playing with the Cool Treats Ice Cream Cone stamps and Frozen Treats Framelits!!!
You Guessed It… I couldn't decide on just one design or color scheme, so I had to make a bunch of cards with this happy color combo, using the Tasty Treats Designer Series paper pack as my inspiration!
I couldn't stop creating cute cards with this fabulous Cool Treats Suite of products found on pages 32 and 33 in the Occasions catalog, 2017. These make great Birthday cards for family and friends of all ages, or, for any fun occasion!
Enjoy the money-saving bundle when you buy the stamp set and matching dies together! #145181 here in my online store.
I cut cardstock in Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight for the card bases, and created top fold cards, with 2 pieces of Tasty Treat designer paper on each one. I also stamped greetings from the Cool Treats set on these cards.
You will find that several of the colors used today are Stampin' Up! In Colors. Only 4 more months for the "outgoing" In Colors, so get them soon! See them all here.
I used these cardstock colors for the ice cream scoops: Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla and Peekaboo Peach. The chocolate fudge topping is Early Espresso.
The cones are die cut using Crumb Cake cardstock and sponged with Soft Suede ink for texture.
The bowls are die cut with Chocolate Chip cardstock, and the spoons are die cut with the Silver Foil paper.
On the card above and below, I decided to highlight the cones on Stitched Shape framelit ovals and squares. I think they highlight the ice cream in a fun way!! I also used Flirty Flamingo ribbon and enamel shape stars on the card above and Flirty Flamingo ribbon on the card below.
Stampin' Tip:
I used Multipurpose glue to glue a scrap strip of paper behind the cone and then stacked the ice cream scoops onto it. It really helped keep it all stable!
For fun colorful accents, I added some Tasty Treats washi tape to the card and the ice cream bowl.
Do you have a favorite? Although I love all the cute scoops I think I might be partial to the fun soft serve cones!!! It makes me think of Foster's Freeze on warm summer days!
I started with top fold cards and 2 pieces of Designer Paper on each card. They measure about 4×4 and 4" x 1-1/2"

Oh my goodness, those ice creams turned out darling!! I love all the different combos, and especially appreciate the tip about making the tall stacked cones (which are so cute!!). I don’t think I can pick a favorite, although I love how you decorated the ice cream bowls with the washi tape. I’d feel like a fancy dish designer being able to pick and choose different washi “designs” to put on the outside of each bowl 🙂 Your cards are the perfect cheery set for a dreary wintery morning in the midwest – thanks so much for sharing! 🙂
What adorable cards, Patty. One is cuter than the next! Not sure I could pick a favorite. They all look yummy! And thanks for the great tip on how to stack the ice cream cones. That should make getting them straight a snap. Thanks for sharing.
What adorable cards! Great job with the design and color use!
Good morning Patty, I saw your cards yesterday but didn’t have time to comment. I was on the run all day. I really love your cards. And I love that you used the Tasty treats DSP. I like your tip on how to stack the ice cream. I can’t pick a favorite because they’re all sooooo cute. Love your cards. Im not quite sure if I’m getting this bundle yet
