I have been having so much fun playing with the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens and Aquapainters to color the lady images in the Beautiful You stamp set from Stampin' Up!. I recently shared this note card idea with Cindee and showed her how I colored in the lady's dress and cut the umbrella image out of printed paper to create the "lady walking in the rain" cards below.
Today I'm sharing a Video Tutorial with you to show you how easy it is to color in the stamped dress image and create the rain with the Gorgeous Grunge speckle stamp.
The fabulous Beautiful You stamp set AND the Watercolor pencils are both on page 24 of the current 2017 Occasions catalog. You can also find them in my online store by clicking any of the product images at the bottom of this blog post.
One secret ingredient on these cards is the printed background paper – found in the Serene Scenery paper stack! It's perfect for these rainy day cards.
Please enjoy the VIDEO TUTORIAL below with a quick 1 minute tip for coloring her red dress with Watercolor Pencils.

After adding Real Red and Calpyso Coral Watercolor Pencil to the stamped image, I also added a pop of Real Red Stampin' Write marker ink to give it a bit more depth of color. You can see all of the instructions in the video above.
Watch the video to see all the details about stamping the umbrella onto a small patterned paper scrap and adding that to the finished card. Fun way to create a quick patterned umbrella!
After cutting the lady out with my Paper Snips, I added her to the card with Tombow Multi Purpose glue.
Be sure to watch all of the details in the VIDEO above in this post to see how I created raindrops on this card with the Gorgeous Grunge speckle stamp image and a die cut oval mask!
All of the cards in today's post are mounted onto a Whisper White or Crumb Cake Note Card. I love these handy note cards that come cut and scored and include envelopes in the package!!
I used 2 of the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils to color the dress. I blended both Real Red and Calypso Coral with the Blender pen. I also added a touch of my Real Red Stampin' Write marker for added depth and color.
And on my last sample, I decided she needed a peppy yellow umbrella, so I colored it with the Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil AND the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write marker, and blended with the Blender Pen.
