What an interesting Week!

Let's just say this has been a really diverse and BUSY week… we are redoing some flooring and some furnishings in our home plus getting help with laying some bark in the back yard… It has meant visits to the flooring store, IKEA, Sugar City (concrete and landscaping materials), Home Depot, Best Buy and more!  It's been a crazy week, and not as much time to stamp as I'd like.. so I thought I'd just share some photos of some of the progress of the past week.

We also created a Jim Burns Watercolor Gallery Wall. By clearing out the dining room, we have a lovely wall of my dad's paintings now!  We have his artwork all over our home.. on every wall in fact, but this one was fun because the wall is large and we grouped several watercolors together.  Kind of an eclectic layout for me.. usually I have to have everything lined up and "matchy matchy" .. but I like this..

I'll have fun before and after photos plus all the finished results soon!!  But the new carpet is done!! yay!!  That's one step!!! 🙂

If you happen to live in the Contra Costa County (San Francisco Bay Area – East Bay) area, I highly recommend going to see Britton at the Pleasant Hill S & G Carpets & more store… wow.. GREAT service, polite, attention to detail, clean, quick… we are very pleased!!

I've also been coordinating the landscapers in the back yard.  The weeds were about 2' tall with all the rain, so I needed those pulled and we put in bark and will add some potted plants in that portion of the backyard.

I'll be back tomorrow with more stamping fun!

  1. You have been very busy! I’d love a video tour of your gardens! We have been redoing our kitchen and as exciting as it is to see it come together, I’ll be glad to have a kitchen sink and stove again!

  2. Hi Patty, Looks to be busy at your house. I LOVE your dad’s paintings. My dad didn’t start to paint till he was in his 80’s… Took classes at the Senior Center. When he passed they got distributed to family but I still have a good many of them. What a treasure…. Have a good night
