We are blessed to have celebrated both of our dad's 85th birthdays in September!! What an amazing blessing to still have my dad and Eric's dad with us!! You may remember this blog post with the Mini Pizza Box birthday idea for my dad, when we celebrated his 85th birthday in September.
<< this is Eric's dad and his wife as they celebrated his 85th birthday in September. We were gone on the stamping/scrapping cruise, but were able to be with them a couple weeks before.
Do you love that shirt!? "It took me 85 years to look this good"!! 🙂
Today I am sharing the $85 gift I made for Eric's dad for his birthday.. I totally forgot to take a photo of the front, but here is the inside of the folder with the pockets full of 85 $1 bills.
I die cut the Happy Birthday thinlit die using Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, and cut it apart so that I could put 85 in the middle. The 85 is die cut with the Birthday Memories paper and the large numbers framelit dies.
TIP! Adhering the Multipurpose Adheseive sheets to the carsdtock and paper first is a huge help in adhering these dies to any project.
Before you think it's weird that I put the poodle on here, they have a large cuddly doodle named Zoe… so this big poodle reminded me of her… I hope Ron and Jean figured that out when they saw this 🙂
The fun die cut animals, balloons and cake are all from the Birthday Memories pack of Stampin' Up! designer paper! Did you know it's currently part of the buy 3 get 1 FREE sale in October!? The matching Birthday Friends framelits make this project a breeze!
I drew the balloon strings with my Journaling Pens.
You'll be seeing more projects soon featuring this fun Birthday Memories paper.. as you can see below, I have quite a stash of die cut images from this paper!! I had my amazing assistant Jan die cut extra images for me to use on future projects!
