It seems like I've had this stamp set for a long time, and now that Stampin' Up! has released the Stampin' Blends markers, I thought this was the perfect time to bring out this set and practice coloring! I paired the Crafting Forever stamp set with the Pick a Pattern designer paper for these fun cards. They make me think of my dad, the artist, with his dozens of paint brushes!
As you can see in the photo below, I used almost all of my new Stampin' Blends markers to color these 2 images of pots with paint brushes. I stamped them on Thick Whisper White cardstock with Memento black ink as recommended when coloring with the Blends markers, and I had so much fun coloring! Then I die cut them with the Stitched Shape Oval framelit dies and added them to my cards.
For the card below, I added the Stitched Shape oval to a Crushed Curry Scalloped oval die cut, then added some Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon to the top fold Thick Whisper White card, wrapped around 2 patterns from the Pick a Pattern paper pack!
I stamped the greeting on Thick Whisper White cardstock as well, and die cut the one above with the Stitched Shape oval and the one below with the Stitched Shape circle. I added Black Rhinestones to the tag above. I inked the entire greeting with Bermuda Bay ink then colored "creative" with my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker before stamping.
Although these 2 cards use basically the same supplies, it's fun to see how differently they turned out.
The card base and scalloped oval above are Tangerine Tango cardstock, and the greeting is stamped in Tangerine Tango ink, to go with my terra cotta pot 🙂 I colored one of the silver metallic shape hearts with the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Blends marker to perfectly embellish the greeting!
All of the patterned paper designs in these cards are from the Pick a Pattern paper pack HERE online.
Thank you for reading my blog post today! I hope these Stampin' Blends cards inspired you!

Hi Patty!
I received my new markers and I LOVE them! Are there any plans for additional colors in the future? Worth the wait for them to come back and money well spent! :<) Wishing you a great week! Hugs, Barbara Diane
I am so glad you love them Barbara Diane!! I don’t know when we might get more colors but I am certainly hoping for LOTS MORE as well!!
Great Card. How did you color the flower pot? Thanks.
Linda D.
Hi Linda, I created that 3 years ago, but I do have a more current video tutorial about coloring pots in my series of 13 free Stampin’ Blends video tutorials, you can see it here: https://youtu.be/AY8DBGAcNE0
