Mediterranean Moments card colored with Stampin’ Blends

Do you ever have one of those Stampin' Up! stamp sets that has been waiting for you … just begging to be used? And you never made time to ues it!?  Yep, happens to me all the time!!!  I FINALLY got out my beautiful Mediterranean Moments stamp set (inspired by fellow million dollar seller achiever demonstrator Susan Nygaard), and used my brand new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to color it!!  It was so amazing to color.. I loved EVERY minute of my "coloring therapy" 🙂

I was inspired by a card on page 133 in the current catalog where they placed one of the stamped lady images from the Beautiful You stamp set onto a stamped background from the Peaceful Place set, so I stamped and colored the lady image with the umbrella, cut her with my Paper Snips, and placed her onto the Mediterranean cobblestone street scene!

Did you watch my video tutorial when I was coloring the lady images from the Beautiful You stamp set?  You can see the video tutorial HERE.  I colored the lady below with my new Highland Heather Stampin' Blends markers, but then I just couldn't put the purple dress onto this card.. so I colored a 2nd dress with Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends and cut it out and put it over the purple dress 🙂

The finished card is mounted onto a Calypso Coral mat, and onto a top fold Gray Granite card base.  The warm tones of the Gray Granite were the perfect neutral background for this card!

  1. Patty, I love, love, love your cards featuring the Stampin’ Blends markers (and the videos)! I have to remind myself that less is more when trying to master shading. Beautiful card! Thank you for sharing your talents on this blog.

  2. Good morning Patty,
I love your card…. I love how you added the Beautiful You image to your card…I never think of doing that but it’s so pretty. I’m not that creative.lol… but I LOVE it….I loved your video the other day on the blendabilities. Can you tell me how long they will last because I know they’re not refillable. Will they go a good ways or dry out???? Have a fabulous day.

  4. So beautiful!! You could achieve a similar result by stamping the women first and masking her then stamping the background. I know what my next coloring project will be!
