How to use Shimmer Paint on your Crafting projects

My very favorite accessory in the Stampin' UP! 2018 Holiday Catalog is the SHIMMER PAINT!

Wow!! What an easy way to add glam, elegance, shimmer and shine to any papercrafting project!!

Today I'm sharing several ways to use the shimmer paint as well as reposting my free video tutorial!

First, just a tip about storing your Shimmer Paint…. I like to keep my Shimmer Paint, Sponge Dauber and Spritzer all together in one little zip lock.. it really cuts down on the time spent hunting around on my craft table 🙂

IDEA #1: Dip your sponge dauber into the lid of the Shimmer Paint and sponge it onto a stamped image, as I did on the milk can above. Click here for project details.

Idea #2: Dip your sponge dauber into the lid of the Shimmer Paint and sponge it onto an embossed image, like on the Detailed Leaves die cut above embossed with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder. I used both Vegas Gold and Copper Shimmer Paint on this die cut leaf. Details Here.

Idea #3: Mix Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer, shake well and spritz onto die cuts or any paper crafting project. For "In the Woods" tree card details, Click here.

Idea #4: Dip Sponge Dauber into the lid of the Shimmer paint and lightly brush it across the tips of a paper flower as shown above! Paper Rosette project details here.

Idea #5: Spritz entire sheets of cardstock with your shimmer paint / rubbing alcohol mixture in your Stampin' Spritzer, let cardstock dry, then use for punching or die cutting images. Project Details here!

Idea #6: Dip sponge dauber into the lid of the Shimmer Paint and sponge onto doilies, die cuts, punched images, or just sponge the edges of any project!!! Video tutorial / details here.

Idea #7: Dip Sponge Dauber into the lid of Copper Shimmer Paint and change the look of the silver Chicken Wire to Copper! Project Details here.

Idea #8: Spritz a Sheet of cardstock with Shimmer Paint (Vegas Gold shown here) then emboss it with the Corrugated Embossing folder, and then die cut leaves… wow!! Project details here.
