Sweet Cup Birthday Party Favor Idea

We had a fantastic Luv 2 Stamp Group Stampin’ UP! Demonstrator event on Sunday at the Garre Winery here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and one of the projects we created was this Sweet Cups Birthday treat!!  You could fill this Sweet Cup with a little gift, candy, money, small toy, etc.!

The new Sweet Cups are found on page 15 of the 2019 Occasions catalog or #148573 in my online store.  They come 10 to a pack (with lids) for only $8.50!!   We used Sponge Daubers and Gorgeous Grape ink to sponge dots onto the cups (takes about 20 to 30 minutes to completely dry), and decorated the lid with the How Sweet it Is designer paper, Sweet Pins & Tags, and the Birthday Cheer bundle!

I added Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the Highland Heather Cardstock, then die cut the cupcakes with my Big Shot from the Detailed Birthday Edgelits.  When you peel the backing off, you can apply them directly to the Lovely Lipstick Foil die cut cupcakes!  The Lovely Lipstick Foil is part of the 2019 Sale-a-Bration free gift offering!!  See all of the free gifts available here!

I colored entire sheets of the Epoxy Hearts with my Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends marker and everyone decorated the Sweet Pins and Tags with the hearts after stamping the greeting with Gorgeous Grape ink (from the Birthday Cheer set).  A cute little piece of Gorgeous Grape striped ribbon is tied on to the pin from the Sweet Pins & Tags pack!

Use Tear & Tape for the Sweet Cup Birthday Party Favor Idea. Stampin' UP! How Sweet It Is designer paper, Sweet Pins & Tags and Detailed Birthday Cupcake edgelit dies. Project by Patty Bennett www.PattyStamps.com

The Melon Mambo scalloped circles were die cut with the Layering Circles Dies in my Big Shot, and the How Sweet it Is designer paper circles were die cut with the same framelits.  When applying the paper or cardstock to the Sweet Cups, I recommend Tear & Tape since the cups are a bit slick.  It will stick the best!

We added a 1/2″ wide x 12″ long strip of the How Sweet It Is paper to the rim of the cup.. that was Cindee’s idea and it’s TOO cute!!    Again, use your Tear & Tape for this.
